In 2009-11, out of 30 questions, 7 questions tested one’s awareness of current issues, while the rest were based on static information.

In 2008-10, out of 29 questions, 8 questions tested one’s awareness of current issues, while the rest were based on static information.

In 2007-09, out of 26 questions, 6 questions tested one’s awareness of current issues, while the rest were based on static information.

Observations:

	IIFT usually presents questions in tabular format where one has to match the information.
	Another common format of questions is a list of information given pertaining to a particular topic and one has to identify the correct / incorrect information.
	One single question may test multi-level knowledge of a candidate – one question may require both static and dynamic information to solve it.
	Example from IIFT 2007-09: Q: Mark the correct statements. A. Hanumantha Rao replaced Verghese J. Kurien as the chairman of the National Dairy Development Board. B. Dabur is the best known institution of Unani medicine worldwide which ploughs back 90% of its 1200 odd unani products into social welfare. C. Pascal Lamy is currently the Director General of the World Trade Organization. D. Jawahar Lal Nehruhad said that it was his ultimate aim to wipe every tear from every eye. A, B and C pertain to current information whereas D relates to static information.
	Mainly in the tabular format of questions, information pertaining to 2 – 3 areas are clubbed together. This makes the questions trickier.
